Oh Happy Summit, Oh joy for us :D

Summit week people, from the 2nd to the 4th of April.

The city is paralyzed, people are stocked on the streets by the law and order sentinels (quite a few: from regular police officers to water tanks).
Be careful! If you're in Bucharest and you just happen to have a photo camera in your possession, chances are you'll be stopped, questioned and searched by the police, they do mean Business.

If you happen to have any weapon-like object on yourselves, no matter how non-threatening it may seem to you (a Swiss army knife, a glass bottle of beer, your hands in your pockets :D), you can be considered suspicious and stopped on the street for no apparent good reason.

Apart from the locals' indisposition regarding the summit which includes police stocking and not being able to take the bus to work (for those unfortunate enough to work near the center of the summit-city), the foreigners have encountered a few problems themselves. Starting with the fantastic journalist-welcoming-committee at the airport, the wonderful lack of means of transportation (no taxis) and, of course, the always-present technical difficulties (no sound for the foreign journalists who were in another press-room during Bush Jr's speech).

How much money does the Romanian Government have to spend for all to be perfect if the 26 million EUR that were spent for this summit weren't enough?
